Although Samantha made her debut in films with Kollywood, she didn’t have time to pick up projects here due to her overwhelming success in Telugu industry. With the dubbed version of ‘Eega’ titled ‘Naan Ee’, she made her comeback here and is now the favourite choice of actors and directors. She was first signed to play the female lead in Suriya-Lingusamy’s project Anjaan. While the shooting of this film is proceeding at good pace, she is signed to romance Vijay in AR Murugadoss’ untitled next. Anirudh has been signed to compose music. Initially, George C Williams was signed to handle cinematography, but is now replaced by Richard M Nathan. The editing works will be done by Sreekar Prasad and National award winner Lalgudi Ilayaraja will take care of art department and Anal Arasu for stunts. The film is produced by Lyca Productions Pvt Ltd and the film went on floors yesterday at Kalighat Temple in Kolkata.
