Aarathu-Sinam review 1

There are two kinds of police story films. The first one is to face Rowdies and criminal politicians; the next one is to involve in investigation. This film belongs to the second one. This film is the remake of ‘Memories’ which was super hit movie in Malayalam.

In southern Tamil Nadu, around Madurai, the incidents of murder happen again and again for 3 times in the gap of 3 months. All the victims are males. It is assumed that as a psycho serial killings. Local police officer Robo Sankar is not capable of finding out the truth.

At this juncture, Arulnithi gets an opportunity to investigate this crucial case. He loses his wife and child by the cruelty of a rowdy and becomes drunkard without going job. Despite, he is in a pitiable condition, higher official Radharavi recommends him to investigate this case as he has much confidence on Arulnithi’s talent.

Arulnithi accepts this task by the compulsion of his mother Tulasi. As the fourth muder occurs, he accelerates the investigation. When he finds out about the probability for the fifth murder, the psycho killer abducts the victim. Could Arulnithi save the life of the fifth one? Could he arrest the killer? What motive is lying behind these killings? – That is climax.

It is superb thriller after a long gap. Despite being a drunkard, Arulnithi investigates the case. It gives the different experience to the audience. He exhibits his talents in this film perfectly.

Ishwarya Rajesh attracts us by her beauty even she appears for a short time. Ishwarya Dutta has also performed well. RadhaRavi and Tulasi have done their job well. The self-esteem police officer Robo Sankar makes us laugh imitating vijayakanth during press meets. After a long gap, Charlie enters once again through this film.

‘ThoongaaNagaram’ Gaurav performs as a serial psycho killer. His performance and the reason behindthe killings are adding boost to the story. But, there are some logical flaws also in this film. Particularly, the logical errors in depicting the operation of police department. However, this film is spirited one. Director Arivazhagan has not made any big mistake in his remake job. He deserves to be congratulated.

AaraavathuSinam – it is a good entertainment movie.
