While Tamil Cinema was travelling the stereotypical way of usual love stories and action flicks, Venkat Prabhu arrived to the situation and came out with a lot of changes. Right from his debut film ‘Chennai 600028’, the director has been entertaining us with his best shows. What followed next was an edge-on-seat thriller ‘Saroja’. The film was complimented as a better upgraded version of Hollywood movie Judgment Night and spanned good box office collections in box office. Later, he came up with ‘Goa’, the most enjoyable trip that took us straight to the world’s blessed beach on planet onscreen. What followed next was the most celebrated magnum opus ‘Mankatha’. Now he is back with a delicious ‘Biriyani’ that will hit screens on January 14, 2014 for the festive occasion of Pongal.
