It would be appropriate if we say that the film Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam is a jolly good one entertainer and can be seen with the family.
There is a beautiful village called Silukkuvarpatti in Dindigul District. In that village, Sivakarthikeyan is the president of the Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam while Suri is the secretary. Sathyaraj is the village head. He has three daughters. Because of some quarrel in the village, he pledges that he will cut the ears of his daughters and kill them if they elope with someone. So he gets his two daughters married very urgently.
When he arranges marriage for his third daughter Sri Divya, Sivakarthikeyan enters the scenario and stops the marriage. Because of this, there is clash between Sivakarthikeyan and Sathyaraj. On the other hand Sri Divya starts loving Sivakarthikeyan but Sivakarthikeyan starts loving Bindhu Madhavi who is a teacher in that village. All these love are one-sided. Bindhu Madhavi instead of accepting Sivakarthikeyan’s love gets married to someone else.
Sivakarthikeyan who is frustrated because his love failure gets enticed seeing Sri Divya wearing a sari in a temple festival. He falls in love with her. Both of them start loving each other. Sathyaraj comes to know about this affair. He is against their love.
What happens to the romance of Sivakarthikeyan and Sri Divya? Did Sathyaraj unites the duo is the rest of the story.
Sivakarthikeyan has scored well with his usual style of acting. His comedy timing is superb. We can say that there are two heroes in this film because Parotta Suri has also been given a role that is equivalent to Sivakarthikeyan. Both of them tickle the ribs of the audience. Sathyaraj has donned the role of Sivananda. He has lived this role. He is gigantic in the entire film.
Sri Divya has donned the role of a beautiful village girl. Though there is lesser scope for acting, she has utilized the given opportunity. Her eyes look very breathtaking in the romantic scenes. Bindu Madhavi dons the role of teacher. She comes in few scenes and disappears.
There were many expectations about this film since it was directed by Ponram who was an assistant to director Rajesh. Rajesh had the capability of directing continuous hit comedy films. Ponram has wholly fulfilled the expectations. Though he has polished the old story, he has won laurels for giving us an entertainer. We should definitely appreciate Parotta Suri for moving the film in a very comical way.
The songs composed by D Imman have already become popular. Seeing it visually is really entertaining. Sivakarthikeyan’s song makes one tap their feet. He will be a good singer indeed. Balasubramaniam has captured the beauty of village with his camera eyes.
On the whole Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam has driven out our worries.
Final Word – Enjoy the fun-filled ride
