Venkat Prabhu always arrives with a style and his movies in spite of not being a host of spellbinding plots make a big time on the screens. The entertainment quotients are always to the meridian level that keeps us enchanted throughout the show. Following the grand success of many movies, the director teams up with Karthi for ‘Biriyani’ that is scheduled for release tomorrow (December 20).
THUMBS UP
It’s Venkat Prabhu movie. He never leaves you without entertainment in any of his films. Apparently, he is riding straight from the success of his previous movie ‘Mankatha’. The film has been not just a blockbuster, but a milestone in Ajith Kumar’s career. The other special elements in the film are that it is not a multi-starrer movie unlike the previous films of Venkat Prabhu. This means, the complete story banks on Karthi.
Yuvan Shankar Raja’s songs have already become a massive hit. Regardless of some new genres, he has invented here, they have done a good business in audio markets.
Hansika Motwani, the gorgeous belle has a lot to offer on the glamour and performance front.
Venkat Prabhu is well known for mixing humour with thriller, which was very much evident in ‘Saroja’ and ‘Mankatha’. This one is not going to be an exception.

Studio Green Films and Karthi together had a couple of big releases, ‘Alex Pandian’ and ‘All in All Azhagu Raja’, which was bound to mixed reviews. However, trade circles admit that the distributors and producers played their hands safe with business.
The film’s long delay created rumour that Karthi and his producers weren’t satisfied with the output of Venkat Prabhu and thus decided to go for re-shoot of few portions.
Premgi Amaran might be regarded as a fun factor in Venkat Prabhu movies, but this one seems to be very stereotypical as the director is reported of purposefully creating characters for his brother.
