Obviously, Sivakarthikeyan has become the jack of box office with his previous films landing him up as a hat-trick star. Following the grand success of ‘Ethir Neechal’, ‘ Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga’ and ‘Varuthappadatha Valibar Sangam’, the actor takes a greater leap of making a different spell with ‘Maan Karate’. As the film is hitting screens on day after tomorrow (April 4), we bring an exclusive look and what would work the best and not for this film based on the expectation talks of the general audiences and trade analysts.
Plus Factors:
‘Maan Karate’ and the presence of Sivakarthikeyan indeed are the best highlighting elements as one can easily relate these terms that it’s going to be a refreshing entertainer. There is a humour factor in here and this becomes the first flash of attraction.
The makeover of Sivakarthikeyan to a trendy modern look has made it more appealing.
The script penned by AR Murugadoss gives a confidence that something special and unique can be expected from this flick.
Cinematography by Sukumar is stunning and the visuals should make the movie-watching experience more pleasant.
Minus Factors:
The onscreen chemistry of Sivakarthikeyan and Hansika Motwani doesn’t impress. The makers seems to have felt that the onscreen chemistry would be a major crowd puller to the theatres, but it is not as much as they assumed.
The songs by Anirudh are a huge disappointment. Much was expected from this album, but they turn out to dash down our hopes.
Although Sivakarthikeyan has undergone a complete makeover, we tend to realise that his voice modulation remains the same slang of local flavour that was apt for KBKR and VVS, but not for a stylish movie like Maan Karate.
We will have to wait and watch if Sivakarthikeyan would fit the role of an action hero for he has been a comedy icon till the date.
