Filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj had announced of unveiling the trailer of his upcoming film ‘Mercury’ today. Nevertheless, he has decided to postpone it in view of the ongoing strike in Kollywood from Tamil Film Producers Council.

Although, Mercury is a silent film, which doesn’t fall into the language box, the ‘Iraivi’ filmmaker has kept himself so much adhered to the ongoing issues, thereby, postponing the release. The film’s theatrical trailer release will be happening on some other day.
The film stars Prabhu Deva in lead role, which is reportedly based on a 1982 incident that happened in Kodaikanal due to Mercury poisoning that killed many innocents’ lives.
