At present, Nandhida Doss expressed her view regarding Indian censor board and its functions.
“It is hard to get censor certificate in India. A film is seen by 200Cr Indians across the world. But, the decision is made by the just 5 members of censor board. Is it wise? There are lots of differences in the taste of every human being. Hence, we have to let the people to take decision on films. Common people will be the best option than the few members of censor board.
In approved films (by censor board), there are violence, double meaning dialogues, wrong characterization of women. How they gave approval for such type of films? I think that we should not have censor board. If a fan feels about a film that is not good, he or she will share with his or her peer group. Then, the peer group will decide. Since, the service of the censor board is not needed for our society”, she shared.
