To accumulate fund for constructing new building for Nadigar sangam, the star cricket program is scheduled to be held on 17th April in Chennai in a grand manner. It will be contributed by Rajini and Kamal also. This star cricket is conducted between 9 am to 10 pm.
As the election date has been announced, the election commission is responsible for controlling law & order in the state. Hence, the police directed Nadiga rsangam towards Election Comission to seek permission for getting police protection. As a result of this, Nadigar sangam provided petition to EC.
EC accepted this petition and has granted permission by sending approval letter to Nadigar sangam. On the basis of this letter, Nadigar sangam approaches police to get protection. It is said that about 1000 police personnel will be safeguarding the stadium during star cricket.
