Fantasy doesn’t hit the K-town often and it really demands a lot of courage for any filmmaker and actor to take over this. Apparently, both KV Anand and Dhanush deserve the much praises for coming up with a beautiful love story set in the backdrops of fantasy that gets mixed with reincarnation.  The film is directed by KV Anand (Kana Kandein, Ayan, Ko and Maattraan) and is produced by AGS Entertainment.

Amy Dastur and Dhanush have been madly in love for many births and when they decide to start a new life together, there is someone playing the villainous game to hunt them down. After many births, they are no seen together as colleagues working a video game production firm owned by one of the world’s richest man (Karthik). When they realise about their previous births and as they decide to lead a happy life together, they again face the same life-killing moments and how they manage to survive forms crux of the story. Apart from all this, what connects them across every birth is also revealed by its end.

Dhanush has done a remarkable job with his performance and there is exceptionally at his best  in spite of any situations. His characterisations sketched as Murugappa, Ashwin and Kaali are really stunning. His conversing styles and the point, where he encounters Karthik in his own voice is fantastic. But Karthik becomes the absolute showstopper with his casual stroke of performance.  Amyra Dastur never seems like a newcomer and her performance is spangled with maturity and best screen presence. Ashish Vidyarthi is decent in his show and so is Mukesh Tiwari.

Getting on with the technical aspects, the musical score by Harris Jayaraj happens to be the most appreciable aspects and his song ‘Danga Maari’ is the attraction element. The background score however looks little disturbing in many places. Cinematography by Om Prakash is the highest point of attraction.

If there could be some elements on the negative aspects, there isn’t much. Being a fantasy romance, the director could have kept the screenplay more eligible of making us engaged. The logical elements missing here and there become a little disturbance.

Overall, the film is much engaging in few parts and if the screenplay made with brilliance and few points rectified, it would have made more enthralling.

Verdict: Extraordinary performance and different attempt.
