IRUTHICHUTRU – REVIEW

This is a fantastic movie which cannot be an ignored one by noticing it as another one boxing movie!

Madhavan is a dedicated boxing coach who is not bothering about other aspects. To revenge him, the higher official of Delhi transfers him to Chennai. But, Madhavan challenges his higher official that he could make a good boxer in Chennai also. Consequently, he could find out a fishers girl Rithika who is very much fond of boxing.

As she is a harsh girl to anyone, she also behaves with Madhavan as well. Later, she realizes the deep dedication of Madhavan in boxing and falls in love. When she participates in a national competition, she met with failure by the conspiracy of her sister.

But, Madhavan takes it as a betrayal of Rithika and leaves Chennai. At this juncture, the Delhi official approaches her through the local coach Nasser. As Rithika ignores him, he sends Rithika to prison by making cabal. After hearing these incidents, Madhavan returns and do the needful for Rithika to come out of the prison.

He again starts the training for Rithika to participate in a world level competition. But, here also, the higher official enters the scene to make obstacle for Madhavan. What happened ultimately? – That is an interesting climax.

Director Sudha Kongara has concentrated for a perfect movie without having any commercial masala aspects. Madhavan’s dedication for this film is deliberately seen in this film in every scene. He has converted himself as an original boxing coach. In the climax, he successfully transfers his fervor to the audience. There is an effective screen play also.

It is hard to believe that this is a first movie for an original boxer Rithika Singh. She garners much applause for every scene from the fans. In climax, her affection towards Madhavan is appreciable.

Other artists like RadhaRavi, Nasser, Delhi official zakhir Hussein, Mumtaj Sorcaar and Kali Venkat have played their part well. The dialogues from Arum Matheeswaran adds boost for this film. Music director Santhosh Narayanan has contributed reasonably. Camera man Sivakumar Vijayan’s role for this film is appreciable.

Director Sudha Kongara has clearly picturized some crucial aspects such as politics in boxing and status of the women in this game. It should be watched by the people who have admiration for sports.
