There happens to be a myth that films with female actors in lead roles will not have any commercial values. Apparently, actress Nayanthara has proved to rub those lines and prove that it can be commercially successfully. It is evident with the reception that her upcoming film Kolamavu Kokila has been carrying up.

The film is directed by Nelson and is produced by Lyca Productions. The movie was initially supposed to hit screens on August 10 along with Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam 2, but has now postponed to August 17.
Director Nelson says that the concept of female centric genre has got diminished by Nayanthara. This film will bring more family audiences into theatres as the director believes.
