After the stupendous success of Theri, Vijay had joined hands once again with Atlee in the film Mersal. This 61st film of Vijay is being produced by Thenandal Studios Limited For the first time Vijay is donning triple roles in this film directed by Attlee. Kajal Agarwal, Samantha and Nithya Menon are the heroines of Mersal. Sathyaraj, S J Suryah and Vadivelu are donning important roles.
A R Rahman is composing the music while G. K. Vishnu is handling the camera. Reuben is taking care of editing. All the works related to the film have been completed and the film was screened to the censor board members. The members who viewed this film certified Mersal with a U/A certificate.
The film is being released for Deepavali. Now it has been revealed that the running time of Mersal is 2 hours 47 minutes.
