This was indeed a long time aspiration of Vishal as he desperately wanted a hit in his career. Foraying as a producer under his home banner Vishal Film Factory, ‘Pandiya Naadu’ was released on the festive occasion of Diwali. Recently, the film had crossed 50 days in many theatres and the celebratory news is that it has made a whopping collection of 50Crore in box office. The film was released along with Ajith Kumar’s Arrambam and Karthi’s All in All Azhagu Raja.
‘Pandiya Nadu’ is directed by Susintheeran and had Lakshmi Menon opposite Vishal in female lead role. The musical score by D Imman was a stupendous hit and the producers are leaping with big profits for the film.
The film critics acclaimed the film for its engaging screenplay, powerful star-cast and brilliant performance of veteran director Bharathiraja, Soori and Vikranth. It is worth mentioning that the film is produced at a budget of 20Crore.
