This is an ordinary horror movie in which Srikanth – Raai lakshmi cast as ghosts.
Srikanth is the son of Thalaivaasal Vijay – Rekha couple. They are making arrangements for the marriage between Srikanth and Raai lakshmi. Hence, both Srikanth and Raai lakshmi come to chennai. But, their life meets with tragic end. As Thalaivaasal Vijay has borrowed huge amount from Sowkarpettai Gotra Cet Suman, he and his three sons kill the whole family of Srikanth.
Srikanth and Railakshmi become ghosts and revenge the family of Suman. The story of this film is based on this. There is also a side story for this film. Unexpectedly, another Srikanth emerges as main villain. What happened ultimately? – That is climax.
Srikanth terrifies us through two different get-ups. Despite, he had worked hard for this film, it goes vain. Though Railakshmi terrifies us, she also pleases us by his beauty in between gaps. We really appreciate their (Srikanth and Railakshmi) courage to accept such type of roles.
White wig and dubbing voice of Suman are not appropriate. His assistants Saravanan, Singam Puli, Power star torture the audience throughout the film than ghosts. Suman and one of his sons Lingesh attract our attention. Cemetery magician Vadivukarasi has exhibited her talents very well.
The song ‘Bayam Bayam’ in the music of John Peter enchants us. The big blow for this film is its ineffective terror. It fails to terrorize us. The flashbacks for two Srikanths and fine songs are the only comfort for the audience. On the whole, the Sowkarpettai ghost can be called as an ineffective one.
