Over the years, every film industry on this planet has been vividly inspired by the poignant love saga of ‘Romeo Juliet’. But it still remains to be a surprise for many on why none of the love stories made in Tamil didn’t carry it. So is producer Nanda Gopal of Madras Enterprises (the producer of Arya’s Kalabha Kadhala, Jeevan starrer Machchakaaran and SJ Suryah’s Newtonin Moondram Veedhi) and the debut filmmaker Lakshman, who feel lucky to have got this title for their film.
“This is a fantasy rom-com that portrays the boy and girl in contrastive characters. While the hero is so much bound to the poignant love zone of 1947s, the belle ritually sticks to the lifestyle of 2025. Well, these characterisations are more than enough in delineating the story of Romeo Juliet.”
The film stars Jeyam Ravi and Hansika Motwani in lead roles with the prominent actors of Tamil industry playing important characters. The director assures that it will be a full-fledged rom-com with fantasy as the major backdrop. Thaman is scoring music and the first look posters have already garnered good response.
