Hero Sivakarthikeyan is the grandson of Madurai’s renowned person Rajkiran. Sivakarthikeyan is a jobless degree holder and loves Keerthi Suresh. As there is 20 years old enmity between the fathers of both lovers, their love faces hurdles. With the help of friend Suri, Sivakarthikeyan tries to divert the attention of Keerthi Suresh by starting an own business venture.
At this juncture, Rowdi Samudhrakani makes trouble to Sivakarthikeyan’s real estate business. Sivakarthikeyan assays to sell his ancestral home as he struggles to run the real estate business. But, here also, Samudhrakani enters and claims that he is also one of the heirs of Sivakarthikeyan’s family. How the hero overcomes this difficulty and manages to marry Keerthi Suresh? – Climax tells the remaining story.
This film really gives life to Sivakarthikeyan in a crucial condition of his career. Sivakarthikeyan’s attempts to pull the attention of the heroine with the help of Suri are actually admirable. Annoying Samudhrakani in the village court (panchayat) is also pleasing the fans.
The beauty of Keerthi Suresh is delighting us. She is worth to be noticed as a commercial heroine. Suri’s contribution for this film is another boost. Rajkiran once again proves his exceptionalism in acting. It is an attempt of Samudhrakani to appear as a full time villain through this film. His performance is ok. Gnanasambandan, Achuthakumar and other actors are indeed adapting this story.
Iman’s music is pleasing us. But, it is advisable to avoid one of the festival songs. The second half of the film makes us to feel that is it too long?
Despite, there are resemblances with director Ponram’s previous movies; he has added some new aspects like villainy of Samudhrakani and Chellampatti panchayat. On the whole, we can say that ‘Rajini Murugan’ is genuinely a treat on Pongal for the fans.
