It is a new type of film which represents harmless spirits (souls) instead of horror ghosts.
Hero Srikanth works in a car showroom and has affair with Neelamupathyaya who is also working in the same showroom. While Srikanth is trying to get transfer to the foreign branch of the same company, the meeting is taking place between him and the 5 souls (old age junior Balaji, Vinodhini, a boy, a young lady and a priest).
After hearing the grievance of junior Balaji, he recovers Rs.10 lakhs from the villain ‘Naan Kadavul’ Rajendran and conducts the marriage of junior Balaji’s grand-daughter. Then, he comes to know about the tragic end of Vinodhini’s son who was died of faux medicine. Following the hearing of this, he successfully traces that gang and does handover them to police.
Meanwhile, he realizes the truth that those five persons are not real but died souls. They will only be visible to Srikanth. They follow him as they finally saw him during their demise in a bus accident. In addition, they assume him as God and seek the help of him.Srikanth faces hurdles when he comes forward for helping to overcome the problems of 3 other remaining spirits and his lover starts to bewilder about his mental status. How he successfully did overcome all of the hindrances – that is climax.
They could have developed the story much better than this. We should appreciate the braveness of Srikanth for taking this role. Why he is following one by one formula in hearing the grievances of those spirits instead hearing that at the same time?
During the marriage of the grand-daughter of junior Balaji, there was a good chance for Srikanthto find out the truth about the spirits. But, the director had made the mistake on this. Heroine NeelamUpathyaya resembles glamour actress Babilona. She had a role of typical heroine. It is hard to bear her frequent close-up appearances.
‘Naan Kadavul’ Rajendran had exhibited his talent well as a villain and lets the fans to enjoy. It is good to have the law to prohibit the unnecessary songs in a film. The team failed to make presence of atleast few persons as support artists in the scenes of cremation of Vinodhini’s son and bus accident.
Director Surya prabhakar and camera man Baskaran deserve to be congratulated for their effort in touching the today’s social issues like faux medicines and selling medical seats for money. They also made us enthralled to see the bus accident.
