In a recent trend in the Tamil film industry, the sequels of the old megahit films are received rather well and met with huge success.
Thus, there have been 2 sequels of the Surya megahit ‘Singam’! Making for a total of 3 Singam films!
Now, the sequel to Vikram’s earlier mammoth hit Saamy has been released. Kamal’s Viswaroopam-2 also was released.
Rajinikanth has also acted in the film ‘2.0’, the sequel for the film ‘Endhiran’. This is slated for release in November. Vishal is acting in Sandakkozhi-2. Sathuranga Vettai-2 is also in progress.
In this scenario, a news is gathered that Kamal has been seriously reviewing about a sequel for his earlier superhit film Devar Magan, which was released in 1992.
In this film, actors Sivaji Ganesan, Revathy,. Gauthami and Nasser had done prominent roles. The film won a National award as well! It was remade in Hindi and Kannada. In this films, songs such as ‘Potri Paadadi Penne’, ‘Vaanam Thottu Pona..’, ‘Ada! Pudhiyadhu Pirandhadu!’, and ‘Inji Iduppazhagi’were melodies which continue to enjoy great popularity.
Presently, Kamal is compering the show Big Boss in Vijay TV. This is scheduled to be completed in 2 weeks.
After this, Kamal is scheduled o act in Shankar’s Indian-2. The 1st Phase of this film’s shooting scheduled abroad.
It is being shared that Kamal would also start the sequel fro Devar Magan and is likely to release both these movies before the election.
