Many filmmakers are restricting themselves by setting duration of just 120-140minutes of their film as they feel that audience can be impressed with crisp and short presentation and not taking so much of time on the screens. It has been so much evident in the recent times that most of the movies are made at this approximate average of time. But Karthik Subbaraj has come up with difference as he is always confident about the contents he comes up with. His upcoming film ‘Jigarthanda’ scheduled for release on this Friday (August 1) could be ample evidence. According to the reports, the complete film has a running length of 170 minutes with 1st half – 1hr 20mins and 2nd half – 1hr 30mins. The film happens to be a musical gangster story with Siddarth, Bobby Simha and Lakshmi Menon playing the lead roles and Santhosh Narayanan has composed music.
