It looks like Indian origin Hollywood filmmakers have a strong affinity to ‘Village’ based factors. While our filmmakers here make rural movies, things are not different there as well… Who can forget the most fascinating suspense thriller ‘Village’? Now Swamy Kandan comes up with ‘The Secret Village’ that is an edge-on-seat mystery thriller. The film stars Jonathan Bennett as Greg, an unsuccessful screenwriter and Ali Faulkner, a gorgeous journalist, who embark on their journey to a small village that has a mystery. The villagers have been killed by a mysterious fungal poison, especially during the month of October every year… On their mission, Greg suddenly disappears and Rachael has to unravel the mystery all alone as the villagers don’t want it to be unveiled.
The film is scheduled for release on October 16.
