Village teacher Ilavarasu has two sons; one is aimless Sasikumar and another one is college student Anand Nag. Sasikumar wants to involve in agriculture and falls in love with agricultural staff Miya George. Despite, Miya also falls in love with Sasi after some tussle; she leaves for her native without divulging her love.
Sasi’s brother Anand falls in love with co-student Varsha. She is the daughter of another village headman Prabhu. Sasi’s father Ilavarasu approaches Prabhu to arrange marriage for Anand – Varsha pair. But, Prabhu gently denies the offer as they bolong to different castes. But, Sasi steps in to make his brother’s love meaningful. He plans with his friends to abduct Varsha; but mistakenly they abduct another girl named Nikila instead Varsha.
Nikila is going to get married in 3 days. But, however she meets tragedy. Sasikumar realize his great blunder and tries to send her home on time safely. At the same time, the village people start their gossiping about Nikila. Having ashamed by this incident, Nikila’s father commits suicide. Hence, Sasikumar marries Nikila to compensate the great loss. His lover Miya disappoints heavily by this incident and leaves with nothing but tears.
Viji extends her enmity for 20 long years with her own brother Prabhu as she conceives that Prabhu was the cause of her husband’s death. Her son wants to marry Prabhu’s daughter Nikila. Viji also becomes convincible in this issue and consents for this marriage. Meanwhile,sasikumar remains in his task firm still. He owes that he will not involve in his family life without accomplishing his task regarding his brother’s life. Who won finally; Prabhu or Sasikumar?
Sasikumar is the very sincere one towards his brother. It is the version-2 of ‘Sundarapandiyan’…! He just has moved to his proper way after ‘ThaaraiThappattai’. All three heroines (Miya George, Nikila and Varsha) are good selections. Among them, Nikila gets more opportunities than others. However, she does not fail to utilize the chance.
Prabhu has done his job wonderfully. Viji Chandrasekar threats us through her villainy role. There are lot of opportunities have been given to Anand Nag and Viji’s son. It is surprising one. Ilavarasu and his wife Renukha were given pleasing characters in this movie.
Thambi Ramaiah’s comedy not impresses us well. The vulgare comedy regarding Ramaiah’s wife is not acceptable. The surprising entry of Samuthrakani, Vijay Vasanth, Bharani and Bykewala is appreciable. Music director Imman’s performance is wonderful. Work of Camera man Kadhir is appreciable.
The first 30 minutes story moves very slowly with some uninteresting aspects. But, later, it gets speed with the plan of abducting Varsha. Though there are some blemishes in this movie, it can be considered as a full entertainment movie. Director Vasanthamani emerges successful in attracting not only ‘B’ and ‘C’ class audience but also ‘A’ class.
