DARLING MUSIC REVIEW

GV Prakash is back with his musical elegance and this time, it’s special as he makes his debut as an actor in Darling. The film is directed by Sam Anton and is produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green Films in collaboration with Allu Aravind of Geetha Arts. Nikki Galrani plays the female lead and others in the cast include Karunaas, Bala Saravanan and Naan Kadavul Rajendran.

Vandha Mala

Singers: Gaana Bala, Karunaas, Arun Raja Kamaraj

Lyrics: Arun Raja Kamaraj

It’s quite an enjoyable Gana number that comes with funny lines like Vandha Mala, Pona mudi katti ilu Darling. Gaana Bala and Karunaas together make the song more emblazoning and it should pep up with more intensity on the screens.

Unnale

Singers: Shankar Mahadevan & Shreya Ghoshal

Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

It’s been a very long time we heard such melodies from GV Prakash and yes, the song sways into our senses. Soul stirring vocalism by Shreya Ghoshal and it sweeps us completely into sleep mode. So much pleasing and a compelling pleasant sweet poison could be the best words to describe this track.

Sattena Idi Mazhai

Singers: GV Prakash & Megha

Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

In simple words, it’s  slightly passable and doesn’t evoke the right senses of feeling as it happens with rest of the songs. Not an appealing one.

A Vizhigalil

Singer: Harini

Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

So melodic and soft killing tracks that has a tranquilising power by Harini. She leaves us spellbound and transfixed with our senses. She had earlier made a tremendous impact with Pookal Pookkum from Madarasapattinam. Now she sweeps with an impeccable impact.

Anbe Anbe

Singer: GV Prakash Kumar

Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

Apart from just claiming this to be a melodious treat, this sounds like a soul communicating with the other one. So appealing and fantabulous with instrumentals on mild notes enhancing the feel of this track.

The Dead are back

Darling theme music

Every horror begins with a door opening and this track doesn’t miss to offer such effects followed by clock sound and scaring yelling of a ghost lady. Let us see how it works with the visuals.

On the whole, Darling album has some commendable numbers. With fast-track ones not appealing to the senses, the melodious tunes keeps us addicted to hear it over and again.

Verdict: After a long time, it’s a melodious treat from GVP
