So far, there have been some unclaimed rumours that Rajnikanth’s upcoming film Lingaa is a supernatural thriller and is set in backdrops of two different time periods. But the close sources to the crew have denied it to be baseless rumours. According to them, the complete film is set in backdrops of ancient period, where Rajnikanth appears in dual roles one as an administrative collector constructing a dam and other one as a Zamindar. There is a clash between these two lead roles and Dev Singh Gill is a tribal head and is against Sonakshi Sinha, a girl from the same tribe falling in love with the collector. The film’s climax sequence is expected to be shot in Shimoga from August 18 and it is heard that just a month is left for the film’s shooting to wrap up. AR Rahman has composed music and recently a huge fabulous song with fantasy theme was shot in Hyderabad.
