We know that the Rajini film named ‘ThaniKaattu Raja’ was released in 1982. There were tidings that the same name to be employed for Arya’s film in the direction of ‘Manjappai’ Ragavan. But, now, the producing company ‘Super Good films’ has notified the film as a unnamed one. Why? What happened in the meantime?

There was an arrangement for director Ragavan to direct Vikram Prabhu after ‘Manjappai’. Then, they decided to name this film as ‘ThaniKaattu Raja’. Vikram Prabhu contacted Rajini film production Ltd and acquired permission for that name. But, Vikram Prabhu abandoned the film for some reasons.

Hence, Arya replaced Vikram Prabhu. Most of the people thought that the same name will remain for the movie as the story is unaltered. But, director refused to use the name in the absence of Vikram Prabhu as he successfully obtained the permission for that name. It is said that the shooting of this film will commence on 10th March. Hence, they have taken 100 acres land near kodaikanal (Thaandikudi village) for rent.
