Following ‘Visaaranai’, Vetrimaran directs the movie ‘VadaChennai’. For this movie, they made Chennai Central Jail as SET. As the first phase, majority part of the shooting is scheduled to be held at this SET. Dhanush, Samuthrakani and Daniel Balaji are protagonists of this movie and it is produced jointly by Dhanush and Lyca.
Actress Samantha was booked as heroine for this movie at first. She also shared something regarding her efforts for this movie in an interview. But now, She has withdrawn from this movie. It is said that Amala Paul has replaced Samantha.
