Why Rajnikanth refused Drishyam?

Filmmaker Jeethu Joseph in his recent interview for a leading Malayalam channel had finally opened up the reason behind Superstar Rajnikanth refusing to do ‘Drishyam’ remake. The director said that the star actor was so much excited watching the film and never took away his sight from the screens from beginning till end. But what turned him down were the policemen constantly bashing the protagonist during the penultimate sequence to climax in the movie. The actor seems to have told Jeethu that audience, especially his fans wouldn’t accept him in a scene of such upheavals. So the offer switched over to Kamal Haasan finally.
