UTV Motion Pictures had planned up to release multi-starrer film ‘Purampokku’ starring Arya, Vijay Sethupathi and Shaam in lead roles on May 1. The film is directed by SP Jhananathan with Karthika Nair playing the female lead character. The film is a social drama based on three different characters whose lives are interwoven by social impacts. With the post-production works getting close on the heels of completion, it was earlier expected that the film would be hitting May 1, but plans are changed. Due to heavy releases like Kamal Haasan’s Uttama Villain and AGS Entertainment’s Vai Raja Vai starring Gautham Karthik and Priya Anand, the release has been shifted to May 15 alongside Suriya’s Masss. Meanwhile, Arun Vijay who had decided to get his ‘Vaa Deal’ released on the birthday of Ajith Kumar, May 1 has postponed the release to some other date.
