Superstar Rajnikanth’s upcoming magnum opus ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ was supposed to hit screens on April 11 for the festive occasion of Tamil New Year Day. Nevertheless, due to some pending works in animation enhancements and rework on background score, the film’s release seems to have been pushed to May 1, which happens to be May Worker’s Day. Coincidentally, it marks the birthday of Ajith Kumar as well. Kochadaiiyaan is the first of its kind film in India to be made using performance capture technology. The film is directed by Soundarya Rajnikanth Ashwin and is produced by Eros International. Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Aadhi, Sarath Kumar, Jackie Shroff and Nasser are the others in the star-cast. AR Rahman has composed music and Resul Pookkutty has done sound editing.
