Post her negative performance in Naan Sigappu Manithan, Iniya went on to bag several accolades and critical acclaims for her convincing performance in the film. Following this, the actress danced for a song in director-actor Parthiepan’s Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam that hit theatres last month. Adding to this, Iniya performed for a peppy number that was crooned by Lakshmi Menon for the forthcoming film Oru Oorla Rendu Raja that is helmed by R. Kannan.
Talking about her experience in performing these songs, Iniya revealed that it is not right to call these songs ‘Item Numbers’ and that they must be advocated as ‘Special Performance’. She went on to add that she does not want to do a lot of ‘Special Performances’ but she agreed as actor Vimal and director Kannan are her good friends. Currently, Iniya is acting in Sarathkumar’s Velachery, a crime mystery. We hear that the actress is playing the role of an advocate.
