Director Samuthirakani has now acted in an important role in Balakrishnan’s digitally restored ‘Kamaraj’ that was released in 2004. The film didn’t perform well at that point of time and now feeling that it has lots of political references, he has included some additional scenes that involves the characterisation of Samuthirakani, A chief tax officer who on visiting the house of Ex-Cm Kamaraj after his death narrates his story. Richard Madhuram has played the lead role and the digitally restored version will be releasing approximately in 100 screens of Tamil Nadu.
