Sundara Ilango from Bala’s school is now directing the film ‘Arthanari’. The story of this film is based on the challenges of undercover lady police in her department and her courage to face criminals without any compromise. ‘Naigal Jaakkirathi’ Arunthathi is exhibiting her talent as heroine (police officer) of this film while Ram kumar, a debut hero is sharing a dais with her.
It is said to have known that this film underlines many issues regarding hazardous condition of women, working in police department. (Recently, we came across the news about the suicide of young woman DSP, as she was facing mounting pressure from higher authorities and other male colleagues regarding an important case). Especially this film resembles ‘Thani Oruvan’ in depicting the struggle between good and bad with Selva Ganesh as music director.
