Sundar C films really don’t need reviews and it can be categorized into two different classifications. One which is 100% entertaining and other one 50% and this is something that has been the viewers recognizing his films over the years. Let us check the scale of entertaining percentage for this film that stars Vishal and Hansika Motwani in lead roles with a star-spangled cast of Santhanam, Prabhu, Ramya Krishnan, Vaibhav, Ethir Neechal Satish, Madhurima, Madhavi and many others with Hip Hop Aadhi scoring music and cinematography handled by Gopi Amarnath…
The film opens with Vishal and Hansika Motwani falling in love with each other following which it is revealed by his the former’s estranged father that they are actually cousins. Their families were separated before years due to misunderstanding conflicts. Now with Vishal along with his brothers Vaibhav and Ethir Neechal Satish set out to impress their aunties and marry their daughters, thereby making the separated families united together again.
The first half of this film is so much engaging and entertaining with lots of humour and screenplay is so fun-filled and engrossing that we don’t have any distractions. Soon as we move into the second half, there is a depth slightly missing as the long time feud between Ramya Krishnan and Pradeep Rawat has no proper intensity. But soon as Santhanam comes back into the frame, there the funny celebrations begin again that persists till climax.
Vishal as in his previous films flexes his muscles and gives a herculean effort in action sequences. His comedic situations with Santhanam and Ethir Neechal Satish are enjoyable. There isn’t much romance sequence between Vishal and Hansika Motwani. Hansika has been shot beautifully and sometimes it is beyond glamour and slightly vulgar. Santhanam is the real showstopper in this film and his hilarious lines and his characterisation very well blend with the screenplay makes the film more enjoyable.
Musically, the songs are captivating by Hip Hop Aadhi and cinematography by Gopi is laudable.
Verdict: Out-of-date story, but hilarious package
