Cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Santhosh Sivan made the film ‘Inam’ that was so much appreciated in many places. The film was released last Friday and witnessed good response from film critics and audiences as well. But, there seems to have been few upheavals rising in town due to this movie. Yes, removal of 4-5 scenes from the film was such an ample evidence, nevertheless, the makers from Tirupathi Brothers had accepted it. Finally, director Lingusamy and Subash Chandra Bose who had released the film under the banner have decided to stop the screening in theatres from tomorrow. A letter addressed by Lingusamy to all the media channels pertaining to this decision states that he has been an ardent supporter of Tamilians and is so much disappointed with the misconceptions of his fellowmen over opposing this film. With the election time approaching nearby, he doesn’t want to hurt the feelings of any individual and group.
