Why ‘Thagaval’ is the last Tamil film?

 

Thagaval happens to be the one and only last Tamil movie to be shot in film and previously it was Arun Kumar’s Pannaiyarum Padminiyum that starred Vijay Sethupathi and Aishwarya Rajesh in lead roles. What makes Thagaval something unique is that it is about the status of woman in our country? The film is directed by Suseenthira, who was earlier, associated with Bharathan and Joshi and he holds special mention for making some Tamil serials as well. It is worth mentioning that his Malayalam movie titled ‘Vaidooriyam’ gained huge appreciations and accolades in Kerala. The film ‘Thagaval’ comes from the production houses – Motion Craft Productions in association with FVMS Company. The film stars Desha, Rishi, Mayilsamy, Dimple Rose and Master Vishnu in important characters. The technical crew comprises of Sibi (Cinematography), Sajith Thendral (Music), Cool Jayanth (Choreography) SP Venkatesh (Background Score) and Jeethu Jose is the producer. The film boasting of technical richness will be shot in Aari 65 and this would be the one and only last Tamil film to be shot using this camera.
