Director Cheran was popular and successful director in Tamil during 1990s. His last movie ‘JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkkai’ was a decent hit in Telugu though it was not commercially successful in Tamil. At this juncture, the success of ‘Dharmadurai’, has impressed the Cheran. His close friends like Ameer have pointed out this to Cheran.
They also advised him to realize his strong area in family relationship movies. Following this, Cheran narrated a story to Vijaysethupathi and made him consented to perform in his direction. It is expected that the official announcement will be made soon accordingly.
