Ilaiyaraja’s 1000th film ‘Thaarai thappattai’ is set to be released on Pongal festival. The audio release of this movie has garnered good support from the people. Ilaiyaraja had followed a new method in re-recording for this film. They have taken scenes with the background support of re-recording. It is similar to taking song scenes with the background support of songs.
Ilaiyaraja had composed background music previously (before shooting of the particular scene) for the scene in which heroine Varalakshmi wails as she is being subjected to the atrocities, imposed by the villain. It is considered as a new effort. When this music heard by the team in shooting spot, everyone including Varalakshmi struggled hard to control their tears. It was easy to act.
It is unprecedented event that Ilaiyaraja is visiting to the shooting spot of a film in which he is working. To observe the possibility of his new attempt, he visited the ‘Thaarai thappattai’ shooting spot in Thanjavur few months ago. The movie team believes that this new venture will definitely be successful.
