The high budgeted film Sangamithra produced by Thenandal Films was introduced at the world famous Cannes Film Festival in France. Director Sundar C, Jayam Ravi, Arya, Shruthi Haasan, art director Sabu Cyril, music composer A R Rahman and producer Murali Ramasamy participated in this introductory meet.
In this function the first look posters of Sangamithra was released. Shruthi Haasan had been to London to learn fencing for the sake of this film. The pre-production works were going on in rapid pace.
At this juncture, Thenandal Films have tweeted, “Due to unavoidable situation, Shruthi Haasan could not continue in this film.”
This news has surprised many because the whole film was centred on her. Very soon, the new heroine’s name will be announced.
