Like ‘Puli’, the film ‘Kaththukkutti’ was on high expectation and also had to be released last week simultaneously with ‘Puli’. The story of this film has been set on the sufferings of the farmers of Thanjavur area by Methane project and having been acted by Naren and Soori. Its director is R.Saravanan. The movie was blocked on its road to release by a case which was registered by a producer in Madras High Court on cash issue. The court issued an interim ban on this movie.
At this crucial juncture, the producer of this film R.Ramkumar accessed the court and rendered Rs.58 lakhs in the name of registrar in front of the Justice Ravichandra Babu. By accepting this, Justice Ravichandra Babu lifted the ban on this movie. As a result of this, ‘Kaththukkutti’ is set to be released on 9th October across Tamilnadu.
