Previously, the general secretary of NadigarSangam Vishal undertook the inspection to curb the fake VCD. Now, the members of working committee of NadigarSangam have involved in the inspection for fake VCD. On the basis of the complaint of Vishal, the video piracy team headed by inspector Rajeshwari, raided the shop and confiscated about 1 lakh fake DVDs. The fake VCDs were handed over to the court.
The video piracy team headed by Rajeshwari, raided a godown in Balagangapuram of Madurai and arrested the gang. They confiscated the computer machines and other instruments worth of Rs.20 lakhs.
In the godown near Salem old bus stand owned by RamchandLal, there are 20 persons involve in making fake VCD. They supply the fake VCDs to Dharmapuri, Salem, Karur and Erode etc., from here. But, the video piracy team raided the godown and confiscated the banned items on the basis of the complaint filed by NadigarSangam working committee members Ramana and Nanda. The members also found out the place of making fake VCD in Salem Kichapalayam area.
