Catherine Tresa has played the heroine in many languages including Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu. She made her debut in Tamil cinema with the film ‘Madras’. The film is directed by Attakathi fame Ranjith and is produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green Films. ‘Madras’ featured as a perfect girl from North Chennai, who is a communist and she played her part very well without any glamour. She has now completed working on her next Tamil outing ‘Kanithan’ that stars Atharvaa in lead role. While both of them play the role of journalists, Catherine Tresa says that her role is completely in contrast to her previous film ‘Madras’. “I play a modern girl in this film Kanithan and it will be completely different and unique from what I had performed in Madras.” Catherina is also simultaneously shooting for the Telugu remake of ‘Manja Pai’, where she plays the role essayed by Lakshmi Menon in original version, which will have Vishnu Manchu in lead role of that played by Vimal.
