Vijay’s Puli that was initially planned for Diwali release got pre-pone to September 17 for the festive occasion of Vinayaga Chathurthi. The film is directed by Chimbu Devan and is produced by Thameems in collaboration with P.T. Selvakumar, with an ensemble star-cast of Sri Devi, Hansika Motwani, Shruthi Haasan, Robot Shankar, Sudeep, Prabhu and many others. On the other end, Bobby Simha-Prakash Raj starrer ‘KO 2’, directed by debutant Sharath Madava and produced by RS Infotainment Eldred Kumar and Jayaraman is also getting ready for release on the same date. It is worth mentioning that Vishal’s Paayum Puli was indeed scheduled for the same day release, but is now getting re-scheduled to September 4.
