Reviewing the box office collection, it looks like Karthi-Ranjith’s Madras is indeed doing great rounds among the audience. The film is shot across the locales of North Madras and the film focuses on a wall that is situated over there. Well during the success meet of the film, actor Jayaram who played the role of Karthi’s father in the film was all praises for the actor. He mentioned that while many heroes where quite unsure of the project Karthi was the one who directly took up the role. He further added that Karthi is sure to be the hero of people following the footsteps of actor-politician MGR.
Well, while asking Karthi about this, the actor revealed that he is not familiar with politics as MGR sir and all he know is good acting. The actor further added that he is preparing for his forthcoming ventures and next in his belt is Komban.
It is worth mentioning that Madras is praised by both audience and the critics. Karthi added that he too had doubts about the film especially after hearing that the script was based on a wall. However, the actor is glad that he took up the project and receiving good appreciation for it. Apparently actor and his brother Suriya watched the film and appreciated Karthi for taking chances and bring out success. Similarly, actor Sivakumar also interacted well with director and technicians about the film.
